Best ending of any BIODTL solo ever in my opinion. 2nd Solo is my fav.Ĭrazy Fingers sounds great with the echo of the audience recording.īIODTL is one of my favorite versions of all time. A perfect Charlie Miller Remastered Sound Board could not make this better. In a year almost void of Dead shows this is a small snippet of their ever changing style. I listen to both the 75 Audience Recordings almost religiously they are absolutely amazing.
This is hands down the best Peggio of all time. Be a love light that turns others’ on, turn on your love lights, let ‘em shine on me! Much love to you all, let’s be vehicles for forward movement and progress oriented change in this crazy world. I would have loved to hit any of those ‘75 shows had I been born (‘85 guy here, I was born on the day they played the Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheater in Sept, really decent show for 1985 in fact!). This whole period is like my sweet spot for the band. These are my favorite songs of theirs if I’m being honest. And this 72-78 era is my favorite of their tunes and creative output, I love also the stuff before and after, but between that bracket of time is This here Grateful Dead 1975 sweet spot. Truly history-making for those keeping track. Speaking of which, Allah sings his Blues this show, we got one of the very few love performances of Blues For Allah (without lyrics too, just as everything else from that ultimate album would become, but at this time it was a period of great growth and change and explorations crearively and otherwise!īut still, THIS is the first Crazy Fingers AND the first Help on the Way, you can see even hearing it now what is yet to come, the infinite, and then theres that 9min Slipknot! And that enlightening first ever Franklin’s Tower is absolutely incredible, I love hearing the audience totally jive with this entirely new music being perofmend for them by a band they/we all love dearly. Great songs and performances all around from BIODTL, Deal to Big River and Peggy O too even Sugar and US Blues. Not only for its first ever live debut performances of Crazy Fingers (and as an opener, you can only imagine how proud of that tune the boys were, and rightly so) and also not to mention the DEBUT of the Holy GD Tryptic of Help/Slip/Frank (Help On The Way being lyricless still at this stage, still being birthed into the American Beauty of a song that it would become).
